Senior-led. Execution-focused. Internationally informed.
Meaningful transformation is not achieved through frameworks and recommendations alone, but through the alignment of people, processes, technology, governance, and leadership around clearly defined outcomes.
Lijo Joseph is the Founder and Chief Advisor of Altiora Advisory & Strategy LLPTM, a senior-led advisory and consulting firm established to help governments, public institutions, regulators, and enterprises translate strategic ambition into measurable results.
With over 21+ years of multi-industry leadership experience spanning strategy, transformation, governance, operational excellence, customer experience, program management, service delivery, and IT, Lijo brings a distinctive combination of strategic perspective and hands-on execution expertise. His professional journey has taken him across the United Kingdom, Europe, the United States, Asia, and the Middle East, providing exposure to diverse operating environments, organizational cultures, and business challenges.
His experience extends beyond conventional consulting. Lijo has worked at the intersection of executive advisory, organizational transformation, business operations, technology-enabled change, and enterprise performance. He understands the complexities that arise when organizations seek to translate a vision into an actionable strategy, align leadership and resources, establish effective governance, and deliver sustainable improvements in performance.
At Altiora, Lijo’s purpose is to bring clarity to complexity and help organizations move from strategy to execution, from execution to measurable performance, and from performance to lasting organizational capability. He believes that meaningful transformation is not achieved through frameworks and recommendations alone, but through the alignment of people, processes, technology, governance, and leadership around clearly defined outcomes.
Throughout his career, Lijo has held leadership and advisory responsibilities across consulting, government, aviation, financial services, healthcare, transportation, utilities, telecommunications, shared services, and customer operations.
His professional experience includes leadership within Protiviti Global, advisory assignments with the Government of Qatar’s Civil Service and Government Development Bureau, and engagements with Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (Kahramaa), Qatar Airways, Wipro, Qatar Financial Centre Authority, Qatar Islamic Bank, Mowasalat, Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar Foundation, and other organizations across international operating environments.
As an Director and Business Excellence and Transformation Practice Leader at Protiviti Global, he has been responsible for leading and developing the Business Excellence and Transformation practice across the GCC. His responsibilities encompass practice development, advisory solution design, client engagement, delivery leadership, resource management, and the development of strategic opportunities.
This experience has strengthened his ability to work across the full advisory lifecycle—from understanding the strategic challenge and designing the appropriate solution to supporting implementation, managing delivery, and developing organizational capability.
Lijo’s professional exposure includes advisory work connected to public-sector transformation and organizational development in Qatar. During his assignment with the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau, he contributed to initiatives involving organizational mission, vision, values, structure, strategic master planning, and the establishment of management offices supporting strategy and transformation.
His work in this environment reflects his interest in helping public institutions strengthen their institutional capacity, improve strategic alignment, and establish the governance and execution mechanisms necessary to support national and organizational priorities.
He has also undertaken advisory and business analysis responsibilities with Kahramaa, supporting initiatives in operational excellence, organizational governance, process improvement, innovation, strategy realization, customer experience, and organizational resilience.
These assignments have given him insight into the requirements of public-sector organizations operating within complex stakeholder environments, where transformation must balance strategic priorities, institutional accountability, operational continuity, and long-term public value.
A central element of Lijo’s expertise is the design and establishment of strategy execution and enterprise program management capabilities.
He has led and supported the development of Strategic PMOs, Enterprise PMOs, Transformation Management Offices, Strategy Management Offices, Planning and Quality Offices, and Technical Offices across public-sector and private-sector environments.
His experience encompasses strategic planning, portfolio governance, program prioritization, performance reporting, business planning, risk and control frameworks, stakeholder management, and implementation oversight.
Lijo approaches enterprise transformation with an understanding that strategy must be translated into clear initiatives, accountable ownership, realistic delivery plans, performance indicators, and effective governance. His focus is on helping leadership teams connect strategic objectives with operational execution, while strengthening the organization’s ability to monitor progress, manage dependencies, and realize intended benefits.
Lijo brings extensive experience in customer experience transformation, shared services, contact centre operations, process re-engineering, and technology-enabled operational improvement.
During his professional assignments, he has contributed to the design, establishment, transformation, and management of customer service and shared services environments across multiple sectors and geographies. His work has included contact centre design, customer journey improvement, CRM and knowledge management, service delivery, operational performance, transition management, and the integration of people, processes, and technology.
As a Customer Experience Program Manager with Qatar Airways, he led elements of a global digital transformation program for shared services and contact centre operations, including stakeholder coordination across more than 90 countries and Robotic Process Automation initiatives undertaken in partnership with UiPath.
His experience in operational excellence is grounded in a practical understanding of how organizations function. He works to identify process inefficiencies, strengthen governance, improve service quality, enhance operational performance, and align technology investments with genuine business requirements.
For Lijo, digital transformation is not simply the introduction of new technology. It is an opportunity to rethink how work is designed, how decisions are made, how services are delivered, and how organizations create value for their stakeholders.
One of Lijo’s defining professional strengths is the breadth of his cross-industry and international exposure.
His experience includes public and semi-government organizations, aviation and airports, energy and utilities, banking and financial services, healthcare, transportation and logistics, telecommunications, BPO and shared services, hospitality, retail, infrastructure, and technology-enabled operations.
This diversity has exposed him to different organizational structures, regulatory contexts, stakeholder expectations, operating models, and transformation challenges. It has also shaped an approach to advisory work that is adaptable, analytical, and attentive to the specific context in which each organization operates.
Lijo’s international experience across the UK, Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East supports his ability to engage with multicultural teams, understand different business environments, and apply relevant international practices while recognizing local organizational and institutional realities.
As Founder and Chief Advisor of Altiora Advisory & Strategy LLPTM, Lijo is building an advisory platform centered on the belief that organizations require more than strategic recommendations. They need clarity of direction, strong governance, disciplined execution, and the internal capability to sustain progress.
Altiora’s integrated advisory model brings together Strategy Realization & Enterprise PMO, Enterprise Governance Risk & Compliance, Operational Excellence & Business Performance, and Customer Experience.
Under Lijo’s leadership, the firm aims to support organizations across the transformation journey:
The approach is designed to connect organizational ambition with practical implementation and knowledge transfer. It recognizes that lasting results depend on the ability of client teams to own, operate, and continuously improve the systems and practices introduced through an engagement.
Lijo’s contribution is therefore not limited to providing expertise. He seeks to work alongside leadership teams, practitioners, and stakeholders to create alignment, strengthen decision-making, build delivery confidence, and develop sustainable organizational capability.
Lijo believes that advisory work should ultimately strengthen the organization it serves.
His professional philosophy is built around continuous learning, disciplined execution, practical problem-solving, and the development of people and institutional capability. He values the ability to simplify complex challenges, create clarity for decision-makers, and translate strategic intent into actions that can be understood, governed, and delivered.
Through Altiora Advisory & Strategy LLPTM, Lijo seeks to partner with organizations that are committed to growth, institutional strengthening, operational excellence, and meaningful transformation.
Whether the challenge involves developing a corporate strategy, establishing an enterprise PMO, strengthening governance, improving customer experience, redesigning operating models, or leading a complex transformation program, Lijo brings a perspective shaped by experience on both the advisory and operational sides of organizational change.
Lijo holds a Master’s degree in Business & Management from the University of Strathclyde Business School, United Kingdom, with a focus on strategic and business management.
